Description

Polyaluminum Ferric Chloride (PAFC) for Industrial Water Treatment

PAFC combines aluminum- and iron-based coagulation in one inorganic polymer coagulant. It is intended for industrial water and wastewater processes where turbidity, suspended solids and floc settling performance need to be evaluated under actual operating conditions.

How to Select and Use PAFC

  1. Characterize the source water, including pH, turbidity, suspended solids and temperature.

  2. Compare PAFC with other inorganic coagulants using a jar test or a controlled plant trial.

  3. Confirm the optimum dose, mixing energy, contact time and settling conditions before continuous operation.

There is no universal dose for every wastewater stream. Final dosing should be based on representative testing and the treatment target, not on a general online dosage claim.

Typical Applications

  • Industrial wastewater clarification and suspended-solids removal.

  • Process-water treatment where aluminum-iron coagulation is suitable.

  • Turbidity and color reduction when verified by jar testing.

  • Solid-liquid separation before clarification, filtration or dewatering steps.

Handling and Storage

Store PAFC in a cool, dry place protected from moisture and contamination. Follow the current product safety documentation, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and prepare the working solution according to the supplier's technical instructions.

PAFC Compared with Other Coagulants

PAFC is an aluminum-iron inorganic polymer coagulant. PAC and polyferric sulfate are different product families and should not be treated as interchangeable without testing. Review the industrial-grade PAC range and solid polyferric sulfate when comparing treatment options.

Request PAFC Specifications

For a technical quotation, provide the wastewater type, target water-quality parameters, treatment flow, dosing point and any required compliance standard. Tairan can then recommend a test plan and confirm the applicable specification.
