Product Scope

PAC is an aluminium-based coagulant. In a suitable treatment train, it may be evaluated to support clarification by bringing suspended particles together before a downstream separation step such as sedimentation, flotation, or filtration. This page supports product review and procurement; it does not replace treatment design, regulatory approval, or site testing.

Where This Grade May Be Evaluated

  • Raw-water clarification and municipal water-treatment processes where the exact grade is approved for the intended use.

  • Water-treatment systems where the site has confirmed compatibility with the stream, equipment, and downstream process.

  • Project evaluations that include representative testing, applicable regulatory review, and documented acceptance criteria.

Note: The mass fractions of insoluble matter, iron, arsenic, lead, cadmium and chromium of the products listed in the table are all calculated based on an AI2O3 content of 10.0%. When the AI2O3 content is greater than 10.0%, the actual content should be converted into a product ratio of 10.0% AI2O3 to calculate the corresponding mass fraction. This product should also comply with relevant national laws, regulations and mandatory standards.

Selection and Documentation

  • Define the water source, treatment objective, raw-water conditions, and downstream separation process.

  • Request the current technical data sheet, COA, SDS, and any required drinking-water or product-contact documentation for the exact grade.

  • Use representative jar tests, bench tests, or pilot trials to establish suitability and operating conditions.

  • Confirm the approved addition point, solution preparation method, and dosage through site testing and supplier guidance rather than a generic fixed concentration.

Preparation, Storage, and Handling

Follow the current technical guidance and SDS supplied for the exact product grade. Store sealed material in a clean, dry location and use appropriate controls for handling powders. Confirm site procedures for solution make-up, spill response, and disposal before operation.
