Polyferric Sulfate is an efficient inorganic polymer flocculant widely used in water treatment, particularly in municipal water supply, industrial wastewater, and paper-making or textile dyeing wastewater treatment. With its excellent coagulation performance, fast sedimentation rate, and superior water purification effect, it is an essential material for modern water treatment processes.
Description
Polyferric Sulfate (PFS) is a new-generation, high-performance inorganic polymer flocculant with the chemical formula [Fe2(OH)n(SO4)3-n/2]m (where n<2, m=f(n)). Developed as an advanced alternative to traditional iron and aluminum salts, PFS offers superior flocculation performance, excellent purification results, and broad application versatility. It is widely used in drinking water treatment, municipal wastewater treatment, and various industrial wastewater applications.
Superior Flocculation Performance Contains polynuclear hydroxy complex ions with high molecular weight and strong adsorption capacity. Creates rapid flocculation with large, dense flocs that settle quickly. Purification efficiency is 2-3 times higher than traditional aluminum sulfate and ferric chloride.
Wide pH Application Range Effective flocculation across pH 4-11, with optimal performance at pH 6-9. Minimal impact on treated water pH and alkalinity, with low corrosivity to water treatment equipment.
Low Dosage & Cost-Effective Dosage can be reduced by 30-60% compared to traditional flocculants, especially effective in high-turbidity water treatment. Produces 20-30% less sludge than conventional iron and aluminum salts, reducing sludge disposal costs significantly.
Environmentally Safe Free from aluminum, chromium, and other harmful substances. Contains no chlorine ions or hazardous components. Safe for human health with no secondary pollution to water bodies. Fully compliant with national drinking water standards.
Excellent Phosphorus Removal Achieves over 90% phosphorus removal efficiency, making it ideal for wastewater treatment plants requiring phosphorus reduction and eutrophic water body remediation.
Enhanced Water Quality Produces high-quality treated water with no aluminum residue. Does not increase water salinity. Maintains water clarity and stability.
Broad Temperature Adaptability Maintains effective performance in low-temperature conditions (as low as 5°C), where traditional flocculants often fail. Suitable for year-round operation in various climates.
