Cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a water-soluble polymer flocculant for wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering and solid-liquid separation. It is commonly evaluated where positively charged polymer chemistry can improve the capture and separation of suspended solids.

Selection and dosage

There is no universal CPAM dose. The working dose depends on sludge characteristics, solids loading, pH, charge demand, mixing and the dewatering equipment. Run representative jar, bench or plant trials before setting a production dose.

Storage and handling

  • Keep the package sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.

  • Keep the powder dry to reduce caking and handling problems.
